Transport and logistics authorities and companies, we have exciting news for you! The CaaS Nordic Association Member Transport Innovation Association recently organized a highly successful DigiLogistics Hack for the Northern Dimension Transport and Logistics project. The event took place in Vilnius, Lithuania from 24th to 26th March 2023, and focused on eFTI, eCMR, and digital logistics.

The DigiLogistics Hack brought together a diverse group of professionals from the transport, logistics, and ICT industries. Among the leading experts from another CaaS Nordic member – Digilokistika keskus. International mentors from UNECE, Albrecht, Normalis, EY, LT Cargo, Vediafi and many more helped the hackathon teams to delve into target challenges. Along with many Lithuanian transport and logistics experts, two other CaaS Nordic members, GoSwift and Vediafi, joined forces with Lithuanian GargoSign to create a pioneering eFTI-eCMR proof of concept.

The proof of concept showcased an end-to-end authority eFTI Gateway that communicated through the eFTI messaging platform with an enterprise eCMR platform. This sought transport data as required by the EU in accordance with the Regulation on electronic freight transport information (eFTI, Reg EU No 2020/1056).

This innovative proof of concept is an exciting development for the transport and logistics industry. It shows that progress is being made towards meeting the EU’s requirement for electronic freight transport information. The success of the DigiLogistics Hack is a testament to the ingenuity and collaborative spirit of the transport and logistics industry.

As transport and logistics authorities and companies, you are at the forefront of these developments. We encourage you to stay up-to-date with these advancements and to continue to invest in digital logistics. By doing so, you can improve your operations, enhance your customer experience, and remain competitive in an ever-evolving industry.

We look forward to seeing the impact that the Digilogistics Hackathon will have on the transport and logistics industry. Congratulations to all those who participated and contributed to its success!
