On June 9–10, 2025, CaaS Nordic and ITS Estonia co-hosted a workshop in Tallinn that brought together stakeholders from across the Baltic Sea region to explore new avenues for collaboration in the digitalisation of transport and logistics.
Held at the Estonian Super-Ministry building and held in collaboration with the eFTI4EU project, the event brought together representatives from ministries, infrastructure operators and digitalisation specialists from Finland, Estonia, Sweden, Latvia and Lithuania. The primary goal was to share national and EU-level developments, particularly around eFTI and to shape new joint initiatives to modernise logistics chains through digital tools and standards.
In addition to presentations and a productive brainstorming session, the program included a visit to DPD’s logistics centre in Tallinn. There, participants were given a tour of DPD’s state-of-the-art automated inventory management system, offering a hands-on look at how modern technology is transforming everyday logistics operations.
The atmosphere throughout the event was highly collaborative, with participants exchanging ideas, forming connections and identifying opportunities for joint action. The workshop demonstrated strong regional momentum and a shared commitment to improving the efficiency, transparency and sustainability of freight transport.
We thank all the speakers, partners and participants for their contributions and look forward to the next steps in building a more connected digital logistics network across the region.
Looking into the future
The Tallinn workshop was a powerful reminder of what can be achieved through open dialogue and cross-border collaboration. But it’s only the beginning.
We’re now gearing up for our flagship event of the year—Digilog 4, taking place on November 6th in Helsinki. This year’s theme is “Success Stories” and we’ll be highlighting real-world achievements in digital logistics, innovation and collaboration across the sector. Be sure to mark your calendars, you won’t want to miss it!
Stay tuned for more updates and let’s keep the momentum going as we turn ideas into action and success stories of our own.
