Logistics Laboratory (LOBRA) – Innovating Finland’s Transport corridors
The Logistics Laboratory (LOBRA) project is our latest initiative focusing on developing data-driven methodologies and tools to enhance transport corridor modeling and multimodal and intermodal logistics efficiency in Finland.
What is LOBRA?
LOBRA is a research and development project aimed at optimizing the movement of goods across Finland’s transport infrastructure. The project explores how transport corridors can be effectively modeled to support efficient, resilient and sustainable supply chains. By integrating data, digital tools and stakeholder collaboration, we aim to create a solution that benefits both commercial operators and public entities.
LOBRA Group Project
The LOBRA project is a collaborative effort, bringing together key stakeholders from industry, academia, and public organizations. This group project model ensures that expertise from digitalization, supply chain management, transport systems, and logistics innovation is combined to create impactful and scalable solutions.
The project is carried out in collaboration with:
- LIMOWA ry
- TIEKE
- City of Vantaa
- South-Eastern Finland University of Applied Sciences (XAMK)
- Lappeenranta-Lahti University of Technology (LUT)
Why LOBRA Matters?
Finland’s logistics landscape is evolving, with increasing demands for more efficient, sustainable, and adaptive supply chain solutions. LOBRA provides a practical framework to analyze, model, and improve transport corridors, ensuring that the logistics industry is equipped for future challenges.
Whether you are a business looking for supply chain insights, a policymaker shaping transport strategies, or an industry expert interested in collaboration, we welcome you to join the conversation!
